Jeff Jarvis over at Buzzmachine brings up a great point in his post called Networked Journalism, where he says:
…this isn’t about citizens or amateurs vs. professionals. We’re all in this together. Journalism is a collaborative venture. Journalism is a network.

Ok, a few of you may remember a site I was working on around this time last year. It was a mild adult site that featured mostly celebrity aahhh… slipups
Well, the biggest problem I had with that site was that at the time, I couldn’t find a way to monetize the 3500+ unique visitors per day it was getting from the search engines. Well, I’ve found a way and I’m re-opening the site before the end of June ‘06.
Prediction: by Aug 1st, ‘06, bloglogic will be adding another dedicated server to it’s arsenal. Bout time dontchya think?

The newest addition to the Bloglogic Network is finally here.
EXSEO.com has been up and running for a couple of weeks already, but I’ve been putting a lot of effort into building up a few good tutorial style posts over there before officially launching it.
It’s a tight niche site where I concentrate on SEO, content creation tips and link building strategies. It gets back to my old SEO roots but without the pressure associated with working for SEO clients. Yeah, I got my feet wet in making money online as an SEO specialist back in the late 90’s, in case you’re wondering, but cracked under the pressure of working for clients. Hence, the name EXSEO
So check it out, link to it, subscribe to the rss feed…

Yep, that’s right folks, there’s a new Bloglogic title coming soon. I’ll be writing this one myself on a topic I’ve been into and passionate about for 7 years.
I already have about 40 post titles written down on a yellow legal pad. Those will be the anchor posts, plus, the industry and subject matter is hugely hot and has been for years.
Gimme about 2 weeks (probably less) to get this one off the ground properly though.
Oh, and it’s on a really cool little 5 letter domain name I registered a couple of days ago. That one wasn’t easy to find, lemme tellya
#2 Oh… look for a few of the network wide changes I’ve been talking about too.

In a recent post about the pros and cons of Coffee over on Healthacker, Tobias linked to a great article by Bill Nadrazky which got me thinking…
As a blogger, how would I survive without coffee? Would the blogosphere even exist without caffine?
To me, coffee is to blogging what smoking joints and popping acid was to the porn and music industries back in the 60’s and 70’s - it amps up a bloggers creativity/energy level to a point where even the ugliest and silliest stuff seems worth doing or getting passionate about.
Think about it. How would the blogosphere have evolved had most bloggers not been coffee drinkers? Imagine how empty that little ‘write’ window would have looked, and stayed, for millions of people.
As one of my hero’s, Capt. Janeway from the sci-fi series, Star Trek Voyager, once said - “Coffee. The best damn organic suspension in the galaxy.“

Well, everything here in the Bloglogic bunker seems to be running smoothly.
The newest addition to our little family, Healthacker.com, is chugging right along. Traffic is growing steadily, Tobias is doing a great job of posting cool health related stuff, comments are happening nicely, etc. All in all, I feel that site has great potential and staying power.
I’m in the process of adding an email newsletter and possibly even a forum over there too. I think that since the blog is so new it’ll benefit greatly from these new additions. There’ll be multiple ways for readers to get their content and the forum will serve as an extension of the commenting features. They’ll add that connunity aspect to the site where readers can post original stuff and talk amongst themselves.
Gadgetizer is motoring right along as well. Tiago is settling in nicely as the new editor and the site and readership seems to be adjusting well to the new voice. Traffic is up by about 40% and hanging at that level. Haven’t done much in the way of promoting the new forums over there, but will be getting some discussions happening in the near future.
All is well for now.

Scifi Novelist Teams Up with Bloglogic.net to Create the Slashdot of Health
What do you get when you combine a formerly overweight scifi novelist, an outspoken blog network pioneer and a lack of passionate blogs on a major topic?
Toronto, Canada (PRWEB) March 29, 2006 — Tobias S. Buckell, author of the highly acclaimed science fiction novel Crystal Rain (Tor Books) has teamed up with the growing weblog network, Bloglogic.net to launch Healthacker.com, a new blog dedicated to helping geeks get healthy.
“My goal is to build a blog that brings together the best of the health and fitness areas online, and tries to keep out the cruddy ‘lose weight fast’ or article generated sites I see around so much. I’d like to create the slashdot of health.” says Tobias, a self proclaimed health nut.
In early March, ‘06, Paul Short, President and CEO of Bloglogic.Net Media put out the call for professional bloggers and recieved a wide variety of applicants, one of which was Buckell. After reading samples of his work, realizing the calibre of his writing and being inspired with his weight loss success story, Short set up a Skype interview with Buckell to get a feel for what he was interested in writing about.
After a short discussion, they came to a conclusion: “Up to this point, there’s been no #1 health destination in the blogosphere.” says Paul. “So through the combination of Tobias’ passion for writing, his success story with combatting his own weight problems and my realization that the health arena was woefully under targeted by mainstream bloggers, Healthacker.com was born.”
Paul’s goal with Healthacker.com? To work side by side with Tobias and “…create the Slashdot of health.”

Folks, there’ll be a new editor weilding the mighty electronic sword over at Gadgetizer.com in the next few hours. I’ve been reading his stuff on another gadget blog for months now and he’s talented, knows his stuff, is in demand throughout the gadgetsphere, has a really cool name - and we got him. He’s also European.
The ink is barely dry on the contract, but after a few email exchanges I have good feelings about his ability to help take that site to the next level.
So who is it? Who will be calling himself The Gadgetizer from now on?
Keep an eye on http://www.gadgetizer.com for his introductory post.
