Joanna ColanLike a guy on the rebound from losing his girlfriend, Andrew Baron has already chosen a new anchor for the now infamous Rocketboom news vlogging show. It can’t be 100% confirmed yet, but the Huffington Post is reporting that former MTV Europe VJ Joanna Colan will take the anchor chair vacated by Amanda Congdon earlier this week. “Sources familiar with the hire say Colan, formerly the music/DJ curator at Table 50, will begin on Monday, July 10th, when Rocketboom is scheduled to go live again…” Read more »

Trent Lapinski to Expose MySpace

myspaceValleywag says that 19 year old journalism student, Trent Lapinski, has been poking around the dank and moldy corners of how social networking giant MySpace got started, and he’s about to publish his findings for the world to see. For such a young and aspiring journalist, this could very well be the story of a lifetime. He can kiss a future job interview at NewsCorp goodbye though.
